Welcome to my CampingTrailer
                    Page
We Have been Pop Up Trailer campers for 10 years.  Our first Pop up was a 1993 Coleman Destiny Royale.  Then in June of 2000 I bought a Niagara because of the room and shower. Now we are the proud owners of a 2002 TrailManor Model 2720.... What a remarkable piece of engineering!!
Got a NEW TOW Vehicle on July 19,2003! A 2003

UPCOMING EVENTS / NEWS!!
***SUBURBAN WATER HEATERS!***
Many times a discussion will come up regarding the pros and cons of running your Suburban Water heater on both electric and gas at the same time.  Some have suggested that it is against the terms of the warranty and will void same if you do this. I did a little digging around and here is the definitive stand from the factory site.  Water Heater FAQ's click on the various questions and see what Suburban says about this, changing anode rods and much more.
How we got to a TrailManor...
New to trailering? Here is a link to an article on trailer towing.
I found it to be interesting, not real packed with how-to though....read the ARTICLE. Also see the link below (the trailer).

Another great all purpose page of links and info.
If you have a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban/Silverado, check the contact at the rear bumper for 12V.  Use a multi-meter and touch the + lead to the contact at the 1 o'clock position, and the - lead to the contact at the 7 o'clock position.  If you do NOT have a reading of 12V, open the hood, and on the driver side, at the wheelwell, there is a big black box, remove the cover and put a fuse in the Stud #1 position.  There might be a plastic plug with a B+ stamped in the position that will need to be removed.  The fuse is a J-case 40A fuse and once installed, verify that you have 12V at the rear bumper connector as indicated above.  Click here to see where the fuse is to be placed, the fuse was not installed by the factory for "safety reasons".

This information may apply to other years and models as well, so check your truck as above or consult your owners' manual for location of the fuse.
FACTORY TOWING PACKAGE? CHECK FOR VOLTAGE!
A GREAT MUST HAVE BOOK!
During a recent camping trip, we met a couple that told us about the book "the Next EXIT", and they said that it paid for itself many time over in a very short period of time.

While on our trip to New Mexico in August, I picked up a copy at Camping World and I was absolutely amazed at how accurate and helpful this book was.

I only use a certain brand of gasoline and this book helped us find which exits had that brand as well as all other services and such at the exits.

If you travel a lot and/or just want to know what is available at the NEXT EXIT, then this is a must have book for you too.

Strage Happenings at TrailManor
The owners site is abuzz with talk of the
demise of TrailManor.  While there is some
unexpected closure of the factory and talk of a sellout, time will tell what this means.

This is a link to pictures of changes I made to make my TM a little more liveable.
